...in the ❤️ of Leipzig

Hello in Leipzig, welcome to my den

Clean & modern private room right next to the main train station in the center of Leipzig.
Within walking distance: city center / zoo / arena / restaurants / park / clubs / theater / shopping / nightlife!

- Coffee & tea included 🙃
- No cleaning fees
- Flexible check-in from 12 pm
- Super central: 5 minutes' walk to the main train station / city center / zoo
- All public transport lines right outside the door, quick access everywhere (15 minutes to the fair / airport)
- Spacious lockable room
- Large comfortable bed (1.80x2m)

Most of the city is within walking distance. The center has numerous restaurants, cozy pubs, beer gardens, shopping opportunities, cinemas, theaters, clubs, and nightlife. The zoo is just around the corner, and behind it the Rosental Park, perfect for a walk or leisurely picnic with a view of giraffe necks :)

All trains in all directions stop right outside the door. You can also rent a bike and cycle through the park along the canal to the lake area in the south – or switch to a canoe in between. Or light a romantic campfire in Rosenthal. From here, everything is as flexible as you are – do whatever you want, the city is at your feet!

Arena / RB Arena / Moritzbastei / Opera House / Theater / Gewandhaus / Arena / Festwiese are all about a 15-20 minute walk away. Everything is super quick to reach by train/S-Bahn. For example, the trade fair/airport/monument in 10-15 minutes.

Even closer to the center of LE? Hardly possible!

The accommodation

Hey! I'm Matthias—and I'm excited to share my “wolf's den” with you as your perfect nest in the heart of LE 🙂

Forget the dreary standard apartments of shady real estate sharks—with me, you're the only guest and in good company in my home. AirBNB as it should be. Don't worry about unpleasant surprises, unwelcome other guests, or last-minute cancellations: you're booking with an experienced Superhost—just enjoy your time, and whatever you do, I'll take care of everything to make sure it's super clean, ready, private, and just right for you 🤗

You can expect your own bright, clean, and, for a downtown location, very quiet and lockable guest room in my 3-bedroom apartment. The guest room is new and modernly furnished and has a huge 1.80 m wide king-size bed with bedside tables, a large mirror, a wardrobe, a small dining/work table, and super-fast Wi-Fi. We've also made sure there are plenty of (USB) power outlets. You can also darken the room completely with the curtains and blinds.

Your guest room is YOUR private nest and no one else, including me, will enter it. You won't stumble over private knick-knacks and you won't have to be creeped out by children's teddy bears. If needed, there is a TV in the living room that you can stream to with your cell phone.

This is where you will be

more compact

- Yes, there is Wi-Fi, of course. And it's fast too :)
- There are plenty of USB ports and power outlets in your room for all your devices.
- Fresh, fluffy towels are provided.
- Coffee/tea is included.
- There is also a small (but chargeable :)) minibar in the refrigerator for you with water, Coke, and, of course, beer.

luggage storage

Arriving in Leipzig too early or staying longer and want to make use of your checkout day? There is luggage storage available right at the train station behind the building. Or at the zoo, if that's your plan.

Check-in & Check-out

- Flexible check-in possible from 12:00 - 24:00pm
(either via key box or personal welcome).

- Check-out is generally by 10:00 am., depending on the guests after you.

Getting here & parking

Arrival by train: only a 5-minute walk from the main station.

Arrival by car: free parking is available in the surrounding area. I will send you a location where there are usually spaces available. Otherwise, there is a parking garage at the station (€15 daily rate) where you don't have to search for a space.

Access for guests

You have access to the bathroom, which is located right next to your guest room and has a curtain separating it from the living room for added privacy. You also have access to the kitchen, living room, and balcony. We share these rooms.

The kitchen is equipped with a Senseo coffee machine (including unlimited coffee!), dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer (usually full :)), kettle, and the usual kitchen utensils. There is no microwave. Because that most guests eat out anyway... so the kitchen is intended to serve more as a “breakfast kitchen” where you can make yourself a cup of tea/coffee (feel free to use my supplies), make a sandwich, or pop a pizza in the oven. Just please don't throw any cooking parties :)

The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub/shower, toilet, sink, soap, washing machine, and hair dryer. Fresh towels are provided, and there is plenty of space in the bathroom to hang them up and store your toiletries.

During your stay

During the day, I work nearby, and in the evenings, I'm often at home—but very often I'm not. When I'm at home, I spend most of my time in the living room doing things. Often with Netflix—so beware, spoiler alert! If we get along, then join me for a beer or challenge me to a round of FIFA or on the retro console. Depending on my mood and how much time I have, I've also gone on pub crawls/city tours/concerts/campfires and dinners with guests...

In general, however, I tend to stay in the background when guests are present and respect it if you want some peace and quiet... even if the chemistry is right.

Otherwise, I am available for you at any time in the chat on the booking platform “if anything comes up.”

last but not least...

Yes, I also live here! AirBNB as it should be!

Your room is your own little private kingdom for the duration of your stay and I will not enter or use it. If you want, you can also lock it.

It's rarely rowdy here, and when there are guests, I tend to stay in the background—but every now and then, my girlfriend or friends come over for a soccer/movie night, to play games, and sometimes there's even a poker tournament with 10 people in the apartment. On such occasions, you are of course welcome to join in and join the fun. However, my “parties” tend to be on the quiet side, and my friends are also asked to be considerate when there are AirBNB guests, and I do the same. So you'll have peace and quiet in your room and should be able to sleep well, even if we stay up late. For those who are particularly sensitive to noise, earplugs are also available.

Otherwise, you are free to do as you please and be as loud as you like, even if it means stumbling home late at night and listening to music in your room, using the shower, or enjoying a glass of wine on your own or, if you like, with me. I'm not sensitive about these things and am happy to share a little something with my guests. Just please be considerate of the neighbors ;).

A completely new neighborhood is currently being built around the apartment. It's tolerable, and it's quiet on weekends and at night (and your room faces the other side), but understandably, it's not super quiet during the day. It's a big city, after all.
